This innovative technology has been chosen to equip the new 6-speed generations of automatic transmissions on Ford's best-selling F-Series "Super Duty" trucks and is also represented on the new 6-speed frontwheel drive transmissions of General Motors equipping several GM Group passenger car models.

Valeo's compact torque converters offer superior shifting quality and reduce vibrations and noise. In addition, they contribute to significant fuel savings and emissions reduction of more than 6% while providing a dynamic driving experience.

A dedicated 21,000 square meter production plant has been built in San Luis Potosi (Mexico) and volume production started earlier this year. This plant complements existing torque converter facilities in Atsugi-shi (Japan), Seongju (Korea) and Nanjing(China).

Valeo aims to further its presence in this market, particularly in China and the US, and expects to be among the world leaders for torque converters by 2013.

Valeo is an independent industrial Group fully focused on the design, production and sale of components, integrated systems and modules for the automotive industry, mainly for CO2 emissions reduction. Valeo ranks among the world's top automotive suppliers. The Group has 118 plants, 21 Research centers, 40 Development centers, 10 distribution platforms and employs 55,100 people in 27 countries worldwide.
