Various ministers, the governor of Queretaro, the Dutch ambassador, the mayor of El Marques and members of the board of directors of the parent company were present.
Area manager Steven Bol, who was present at the opening, explains: "We now have everything under a single roof, allowing us to increase efficiency and to guarantee the high quality to which our clients are accustomed. The entire production process has been ISO certified with the aim of being able to produce bumblebees of a constantly high quality. This, in turn, assures our clients that they can rely on pollination by Koppert to realise maximum production. We have also ensured that the latest technologies that Koppert has developed in various locations can be implemented at this new central location in Mexico."
The production of bumblebees at the new site is the largest in North or South America. Rigoberto Bueno is responsible for managing the site in Mexico. The construction of the new building also took sustainability aspects into account, for example via the installation of solar panels.
